Come previsto, Gnome 2.24 è stato rilasciato oggi. GNOME 2.24.0 desktop environment contiene Empathy Instant Messenger, Ekiga 3.0 VoIP client, miglioramenti al file manager Nautilus, miglioramenti a Deskbar, RandR 1.2 control support, correzione di moltissimi bug, messa in opera delle migliorie suggerite dagli utenti e numerosi altri miglioramenti.

Ci avviciniamo sempre di più a GNOME 2.20.0, infatti è programmata per oggi la release GNOME 2.19.92, ovvero GNOME 2.20.0 release candidate, che contiene un gran numero di fix della GNOME 2.20 Beta 2.
